“Sojourn”:  noun. a temporary stay.  verb. to stay for a time in a place; live temporarily.

Some form of this word is used over 100 times in the Bible to describe the impermanent residence and the alien-like status of God’s people in the world.

My name is Claire and I am a sojourner, walking through life following Jesus, looking forward to “a better country, that is, a heavenly one.” (Hebrews 11:16).

I invite you to look forward to it, too.

I would like to use this space to talk about my experiences (and others’ too) attempting to follow Jesus in a world that looks and thinks very differently than Him, the original Designer and Thinker, yet, where there are traces of Him everywhere. In art, music, movies, books, children’s laughter, meals with family and friends, nature…the list is endless. The seen is full of the unseen, the temporal full of the eternal.

I love to think, talk, and write about all of the above. Sojourninglikeso is a meeting place for these. Welcome!

Grace and peace,
